Hi everyone


Im using android tab for birtviewer.I have configured setting to execute report through iserver.now the problem is when im running the report from subscription button in tab,the report is executing in browser as its has show in birtviewer ,what might be the problem for this to execute in browser.what is the problem.


kindly help me out from this.

Hi Arya,
I am not sure I understood your question. Are you able to run the report in your mobile browser but not in the BIRT Mobile app?

Exactly i'm not able to run the report in BIRT Mobile app instead of it its going to browser and executing the report

Haven't come across this issue, could you provide details of your environment - Mobile hardware, Android version, BIRT Mobile version, iServer version etc.

android version=4.0.3
BIRT Mobile version=3.1
iServer version=11 Service Pack 3 (Build 110E111028)

The current app supports android 3.x, the next release will add support for 4.x

HI verma,
thanks a lot. one more thing verma as of now we have android tablet app, when we can expect the birtApp for normal devices such as mobiles,some other etc.,commonly everyone is using 2.3 version.
this tablet birtapp can support only 3.x version or lesser than this version.because i have tried in 2.2 version there also same problem i got going to browser asking for iserver console usrname and password after login its showing the report.what might be the problem.
can u help me

Current version of BIRT iServer (11 SP3) supports BIRT version 2.6 (or lower). The next release will add support for versions 3.x

here i have one more query in iserver, we are having option called "channels" in iserver information console, what is the use of it.i never acrossed about that feature can u please tell me about that feature.

BIRT iServer allows you to schedule BIRT jobs to run in future (in backgroud) once or on a recurring basis, and channels provides notifications when these jobs are completed. You can create several channels and subscribe users to these channels using management console. While scheduling job, you can specify what channels notification go to once the job is completed.
You can read more about channels in chapter 2 of Using Information Console guide:

This is arya again here , i have some questions ,when report added in mobile subscription and that contains some parameters which has to be blank while adding but while running in App on that parameter which gets displayed by default value in report.what can be done for this.

Also I have one more question. Is there any facility to write another wrapper android app and pass the details of the settings to the BIRT mobile app so that Clients need not configure it by themselves.

The current app supports android 3.x, the next release will add support for 4.x as i got this message a very long back , so is the next support 4.x has been released.
