I've recently started working with Actuate Birt, I am looking for the Hive Data source that is shown here:

http://www.eclipse.o.../notable3.7.php

I do not seem to have this option available, can somebody tell me what I am missing? Currently using

Actuate BIRT Designer Professional
Version: 11.0.3
Build id: 20111028

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,
Hive data source connector will be available in version 11.0.4 of Actuate BIRT Designer Professional (scheduled to be released very soon) Meanwhile you could work with Eclipse BIRT 3.7 designer that has this connector, all the reports designed in Eclipse BIRT are compatible with Actuate BIRT.

I also need to connect to Hive/Hadoop and posted a similar question in the "Designing BIRT Reports" forum. I need to find the *.jar files for connectivity to Hadoop. Any leads?

Here's my post in the other forum:

Thanks

The necessary jar files should be in the plugins folder

Thanks, but I don't see the drivers there, such as "hive-service-0.6.0.jar" or "hive-exec-0.6.0.jar", etc.

I'm rolling off this project though, so I guess the next person will have to deal with this.

Thanks for the suggestion,
Judy
