Hello,

I'm using BIRT iServer to publish my reports for end-users. They can use them in their dashboard as a reportlet (and share those as gadget). Though I'm still figuring out iServer, and can't seem to find the option to make the size of the reportlet dynamic so end-users can size their reportlets to fit their dashboard composition (locked proportions).

Anyone can point me how to enable this feature; either in de rptdesign or on the iServer?

Thanks in advance,

If the gadget is analytical (built by the user within the dashboard based on a BIRT data object) it is completely resizeable. Either drag the column spacer to change the width, or the bottom edge of the gadget for the height.

Other types of gadgets (reportlets) are also resizeable, however the content may not always be. If the content is a table, and the table has no fixed width (width based on %) it will size with the gadget itself. If the content is a chart, its size is fixed, as the chart needs to be rendered to a pre-determined size.

In this case it's a reportlet containing a graph. If I understand you right, I can stop trying, because it's "impossible" to make reportlet graphs resizable on the BIRT iServer dashboard?

I'll look into gadgets and data objects. Can those also be graphs?
