Hi,Sandesh.

suggest you try the BIRT Barcode Plugin to generate linear & 2D barcodes including Code 128 in BIRT reports. You can try BIRT Barcode Plugin. You can follow the 6 steps BIRT Barcode Generation Guide:
1.Download BIRT Barcode free Trial Version
2.Copy com.onbarcode.barcode.birt_2.2.1.jar to your Eclipse plugins directory "\eclipse\plugins\"
3.Create a new BIRT report, and open "Palette", you can find a report item named "Barcode".
4.Drag and drop the "Barcode" report item to your report
5.It's done. You have added a barcode to your BIRT report successfully.
6.View more details about how to set BIRT barcode properties using BIRT Barcode

Hope your problem could be solved this way.

Hi,

Make sure your font is installed in the machine locally, from where it is being printed.

For pdf printing, you've to add few lines of code in fonts-config.xml.

I think you're using IDAutomation.

Suresh.

I suggest you to download a free barcode scanner first to have a try. There are so many companies sell barcode scanners nowadays. Maybe, you can buy one online. I have brought one from KEEPAUTOMATION and it works well. This company can also provide you with some free online barcode generator, you may have a try someday.

Make sure your FontConfig is configured correctly. They are located under the org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.fonts plugin.

I've ever tried several ways for my barcode generation in BIRT report. So, I guess you may firstly choose the suitable barcode tool for your projects, either Code 128 barcode fonts or BIRT Barcode Generator.

If you want to create barcode in Birt. pls refer to Barcode Generator for BIRT Report.
It is a reliable barcode plugin for generating, printing high-quality linear, 2D barcode images in Eclipse BIRT Report through simple drag-n-drop, without using barcode fonts or third party tools. In addition, this BIRT encoder is built in BIRT Custom Extended Report Item Framework, so it supports both BIRT Report Designer and BIRT Report Runtime.
Hope it helps!

I once read a FAQ page about the barcode generation in BIRT, but I am not whether your issue is posted there. So I think you better ask help from your barcode font provider.
