On the Webinar last Friday a question was asked: “The company I work is looking to create dashboard of IT operations metrics, do you have any ITIL, COBIT out of the box metrics ?”

I did a little research into these areas (ITIL & COBIT) and it looks as though they are practices to assure quality control around information as it is disseminated to end-users. We do not provide any out-of-the-box metrics detailing the kinds of things detailed by these standards. Even though we do not provide these tools by default, BIRT is very adept at bringing together data from nearly any data source. If you can access the underlying data you wish to represent BIRT is the best platform for bring that data to your users via onDemand.

I would be happy to work with you to prototype the access and publishing of some of these visualizations, just let me know what your specific needs are and we can get started. If anyone else in the onDemand community has thoughts or experiences in this area, please feel free to contribute to the thread.
