I have some Problems with the Installation of the Actuate Mobile Framework on my iServer 11.

I tried to install this framework by executing the steps describe in the Installation and Usage Guide by Mr Hanley.

Chapter 2.4.2.2.1 describes how to start the configuration interface of the ActuateMobileSettings.properties. This does not work. The ActuateMobileSettingsManager.jsp ends with

HTTP Status 500 -

type Exception report

message

description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

exception

What can I do? Thank you for help.

We are working on a publicly-available build of the Mobile Framework specifically for Actuate 11. There will be an announcement in this forum when it is ready for distribution.

Thanks.

I have exactly the same issue, however with iServerExpress 10 Service Pack 1 Fix 4 (Build 100C100416)...ideas?

Thanks!

There is not enough information in the provided stack trace to adequately determine the cause of this error.

If you do not yet have a functional installation of the Framework, this is likely why this error is being encountered. One resource or another is likely not in the right location. In the short term, you can edit the settings directly by opening \WEB-INF\ActuateMobileSettings.properties in any text editor and updating the file manually. The only thing the JSP interface does is allow you to update settings without re-starting the App Server. If you are still configuring your initial installation, this is likely not a problem.

You may also need to modify Web.xml to suit your particular deployment. The path to the Framework's properties file is referenced there. If this is not correct, you wold see the error referenced in this thread on the settings management page. The Framework documentation goes through the web.xml settings in great detail.

The documentation details all the pertinent settings you need to address. Note you may not need to modify all the values in the properties file as some are reserved for future use, and not material at this time. Rely on the docs to guide you through the properties file.

Once you get the settings correct, and the Framework online, you should be able to use the JSP interface to manage the settings going forward.

Thanks a lot for the reply, Brian. I've found, after I wrote the previous post, that actually the web.xml and the settings file are wrong. I'll be updating this and let you know.
