Hi

I would like to try Salesforce.com BIRT ODA from marketplace in onDemand.

How do I go about installing this driver?

Thanks

After you have downloaded the ODA files to your client/BIRT Designer machine.

1. Copy the following .JAR files to the \eclipse\plugins directory:

com.birtexchange.oda.salesforce.ui_1.0.0.jar
com.birtexchange.oda.salesforce_1.0.0.jar

2. Start/Restart the Eclipse application in Report Design perspective.

You should now be able to use the ODA as a new data source.

Please note that the current version in the marketplace (1.0.0) will be replaced with updated version soon. This version will include GUI Drag and Drop, ootb custom objects support without recompilation, up to date Salesforce API, and many more features.

You can then upload the design to BIRT onDemand, and run/schedule it from your account.
