Hi everyone,
I hava a question about canvas.
I log in mashboard with "administrator". I create a new canvas named "role1", then i add some portlets in this canvas. Now i change another user to log in, this user has role with "role1". Can this user see the "role1" canvas? How can i do to implement this function?
Additionally where can i find the mashcanvas file for role1. I read some documents, that it is saved in iserver profile. But i can't find it.

Thank you for your answer!

When you create (or modify) a canvas inside a Mashboard session, it is not saved as a globally-accessible canvas. It is saved as a user canvas and is only visible to the user that created it. If you want to expose a canvas to more than one user, you need to create a "mashcanvas" file in BIRT, upload it to the iServer and apply the correct permissions to it so the desired users can see it.

In answer to your second question, a user canvas is stored inside the user's profile and cannot be opened for editing in the same way a global canvas (stored in a mashcanvas file) can.

Hope this helps.
