Hi all,

i've tried around with BIRT for a little while and so far it was very exciting. Most of my questions and problems i could solve with the forums and docs mentiont in but now i stand with a problem without a obvious Solution:

I have made a little Drill-Down with Hyperlinks. There are 2 *.rptdesign Files. One is linked to the other over a link in a report.

In the eclipse-designer all works very well but as soon i deploy the Files into de BIRT-WebViewer the links look like: http://localhost:808...eport.rptdesign

Except this everything does well, the reports themself are shown correct.

I hope someone can help me or give me advice where i am wrong.

Greetings,
Tobias

Hi Tobias,

What is the problem you're having? The reports work fine, but you don't want the link presented in the way it is? Is this correct?

The report itself is fine, but i've put a link on the data that should drill-down to another report. And these links are broken in the way i described (../../../../(...))

/bump

I've received a mail with a workaround for this problem.
Problem was the BIRT_VIEWER_WORKING_FOLDER - Variable in the web.xml. As long as it contained the {birt-home}-var i've got links that showed up like:

http://localhost:808...SingleErrorType.

The workaround is only a partial solution as i want to store my reports packaged in the birt-deployment.

Greetings and Thanks,
Tobias

The BIRT_VIEWER_WORKING_FOLDER variable in the web.xml can be a relative path also so you can still deploy your reports with your application.
