I've seen a few posts (whitout clear solution) asking what files can be removed from platform folder when BIRT is intregrated in a webapp. Any idea around this??
I've removed sample db folder, but what's next??
I'm working with BIRT 2.2.2 and generating doc files.

Jordi,

This will depend on what capabilities your reports can do without. For example if you do not want to use the PDF/Doc/Excel emitters you can remove these from the directory.

Jason,
I actually have the same exact problem. I am generating PDF and HTML output.
Birt jars increasing my Web app size 20-30 times. Is there a document or a rule set that I can refer to remove the plugins and lib jars that are not needed for my application.
If I just remove the plugins associated with other emitters, that doesnt amount to much.

Any help is welcome.

Thanks

Jordi,

We do not really have anything as of yet. You can look here
http://www.eclipse.o....php#understand
To get an idea of what some of the key plugins are used for.
