crosstab design engine api documentation?

I'd like to use the design engine for building crosstabs dynamically using the api. But I can't find documentation on the api for crosstab components. Anyone know where that is? Anything under org.eclipse.birt.report.item, but specifically org.eclipse.birt.report.item.crosstab.*

Seriously, is there no documentation on the crosstab api? I'm trying to develop using the code as documentation and it's a b***h.

What is it you are trying to accomplish? I ended up downloading the plugin source and figured out how to accomplish a few things, one of which was to dynamically remove filter properties from the crosstab at runtime based on input parameters.
