Tutorial recorded to demonstrate Report Parameter enhancements

This tutorial is part of the BIRT 2.2.1 tutorial series that demonstrates via a recording, the enhancements made to Report Parameters in BIRT. These enhancements include -

  • Expression Builder in dynamic report parameter provides user friendly display values
  • “Allow multiple values” lets user select > 1 value from list of parameter values
    • Dataset filter now allows “IN” operator to make use of multi select report parameter
  • Select a default value for a dynamic report parameter simplifies report parameters
  • "Is Required" replaces "Allow null" & "Allow blank" simplifying report parameters.
    • If blank => nulls allowed for Report Parameters, blanks for Text Report Parameters
