BIRT-ing Out Loud

It looks like there will be four BIRT sessions at this year’s EclipseCon developer conference. The conference will run from March 22nd to March 25th in Santa Clara, California and there is still plenty of time to sign up.

 

• Jason Weathersby will teach us about the BIRT project, framework, and APIs with his session called BIRT to the Bare Metal: Framework and API
• John Ward will host a two-hour tutorial called Getting Started With BIRT
• Abhisek Sinha will show us how BIRT is used with data-driven applications in his session called Jumpstart: Making Your App Shine with Rich Reports and Visualizations Using BIRT
• … and I will show you how to customize your BIRT reports in my session called Flexible, Powerful Reports Using BIRT Scripting

Over the next month, (February 11th to March 5th), Actuate is sponsoring a Roadshow touring Denver, Atlanta, Charlotte, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. The second annual BIRT Live Day is taking place at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas on August 6. The focus of BIRT Live is to provide BIRT developers with a mini-conference where they can attend technical sessions focused on BIRT development and deployment while networking with BIRT experts and other BIRT users.

This year BIRT Live will provide two concurrent tracks of technical sessions and two workshops given by BIRT experts. BIRT Live Day is actually a “conference within a conference” - it happens on the third day of the Actuate International User Conference.
